The secret to glowing skin all winter

The secret to glowing skin all winter

A humidifier’s moist air is key to hydrating dry skin. Don’t have one? These work too

Houseplants!

Indoor plants like aloe vera and spider plants absorb moisture through their roots, circulating it up through
their stems and leaves before releasing it, which dampens the air. What’s more, NASA reports that these two houseplants kill germs and bacteria in the home.

A Crock-Pot!

Fill a slow cooker three-quarters of the way up with water, turn heat to high and cover with a lid for 15 minutes. Remove the lid and allow steam to saturate a small to medium-size room for up to 4 hours. Bonus: Steam helps drain mucus to ease a cold.

A bath!

A 20-minute soak adds instant skin-moistening vapor to the air. Bonus: When done, leave the bathroom door open and, instead of draining the tub, allow water to evaporate for a while. It’ll help permeate
surrounding rooms with long-lasting humidity.
